Hello, I am Sandrine, 36, Belgian, francophone, lawyer and uni professor, mam of a wonderful three-years-old girl who is with me a bit more than half of the week (and she is with her dad (with whom I am in good terms) the rest of the time).
I want to have a second child with someone who is willing to create a true partnership to raise the child. My idea is as follows: I think the future father and I should share reciprocal attraction and complicity, be willing to spend some time together with the kids but not live together and each have a part of the week when we are alone with the child at our place. I would like the future father to not be francophone (that's why I write in English) but ready to stay in Brussels in the future, have a university degree, a stable job, and be the owner of an appartement or house in Brussels, like me, ideally in Forest-Uccle-Saint-Gilles, close to me. It is also important that the kids can count on available grands-parents. In terms of education of the kids, I am open to many things but I believe setting clear boundaries, avoiding sugar and avoiding screes are key to have a happy child (aside from the love, attention and care of her/his parents). I also think the coparentship agreement must be laid down in writing to make sure that we agree on what de both want and on what is best for the child.
